Fifth Biennial CCS Conference, 18 - 19 October 2017, UMhlanga Durban.

The 5th Biennial South African Carbon Capture & Storage Conference that was organised by the South African National Energy Development Institute in conjunction with the National Department of Energy and the KwaZulu-Natal Department of Economic Development Tourism & Environmental Affairs. The 5th Biennial CCS Conference was held at the Coastlands Umhlanga Hotel & Conference Centre in Durban, South Africa from 18-19 October 2017.

 The conference attracted a wide range of Speakers and delegates from different backgrounds such as CCS researchers, government officials, non-governmental organisations, Traditional Leadership, academia, industry leaders and countries that are already deploying the technology. The participants deliberated robustly on issues around the role of CCS on National Energy and Climate Change response. SANEDI will thrive to keep you updated on the developments with regard to the CCS activities in South Africa particular the Pilot CO2 Storage Project (PCSP).
